This project presented a number of challenging aspects, which included a seamless changeover of the existing system to the new plantroom equipment. Throughout the project services could not be interrupted.
The scope of works of this project included the removal of over 25 tonnes of redundant equipment including existing 3no. 19m vertical flues, 3no. cast iron sectional boilers, 2no. Calorifier, redundant pipework & pumps.
The new system includes the installation of 2.1 megawatts of condensing boilers, cascades, air dirt hydraulic separator, degasser, automatic dosing system, side stream filtration, circulating pumps, vertical flue stack, 2no. ACV’s, alterations to LPHW distribution pipework, alterations to existing HWS/HWSR/CWS, gas pipework alterations, gas detection, controls, MCC panels, inhibitor dosing, insulation, balancing and commissioning.

In this project G&J Engineering Limited supplied & installed a new high efficiency Gas combination boiler & Heating controls, LPHW distribution pipework & radiators complete with thermostatic radiator valves. These works were completed to a 1950’s built house and the client was successful in achieving SEAI grant approval.
Monkstown Valley
In this project G&J Engineering supplied & installed new high efficiency condensing Oil fired boiler, Heating controls, LPHW Distribution pipework, Indirect insulated Cylinder, High efficiency Radiators complete with thermostatic radiator valves. This project included the design and installation of an efficient heating system following the removal of existing electrical heaters. These works were completed within the environs of a private development.

On completion G&J Engineering Limited reinstated the AHU’s on site using supports, which were fabricated by G&J Engineering Limited.

The project includes the installation of a new heating centre and complete boiler house re-fit. The upgrade is of the controls, the mechanical and the electrical installations. We are proud to yet again work with UCD and on such an innovative design. The project was completed in November 2010

Malahide Golf Club
G&J Engineering recently completed the installation of a new heating system at the prestigious Malahide Golf club. A new complete boiler house and zoned controls system was installed to increase efficiency and ease of use. A Modulating condensing boiler was used in conjunction with weather compensated Cylon controls.

The project is a particularly interesting one due to the beauty of the building and with the order’s request that the church remaining open during the installation for masses and weddings. The project includes a complete services upgrade to the existing building and to the proposed new extension. The project is due for completion and handover in August 2012. Heating installation. Renewal of 50mm Lphw heating mains running the length of the factory and the installation of new Thermoair unit heaters in the main production areas of this Swords Factory. Works had to be scheduled out of hours to allow Siemens production to continue unaffected.

We were happy have completed the upgrade of Scoil Aodan Naofa, Carnew county Wicklow, within budget and considerably ahead of schedule. The project commenced on July 05th 2010 and the school opened its doors bright and early on August 31st 2010 with all mechanical, civil and electrical works completed.
The school was built in 1958 and its structure posed some unique problems during the project.
