G&J Engineering limited were awarded the project: Energy centre refurbishment
This project presented a number of challenging aspects, which included a seamless changeover of the existing system to the new plantroom equipment. Throughout the project services could not be interrupted.
The scope of works of this project included the removal of over 25 tonnes of redundant equipment including existing 3no. 19m vertical flues, 3no. cast iron sectional boilers, 2no. Calorifier, redundant pipework & pumps.
The new system includes the installation of 2.1 megawatts of condensing boilers, cascades, air dirt hydraulic separator, degasser, automatic dosing system, side stream filtration, circulating pumps, vertical flue stack, 2no. ACV’s, alterations to LPHW distribution pipework, alterations to existing HWS/HWSR/CWS, gas pipework alterations, gas detection, controls, MCC panels, inhibitor dosing, insulation, balancing and commissioning.
