Medical Building – Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8
In this project G&J Engineering Limited provided service modifications to the medical centre within the Gardaí headquarters in Phoenix Park.
G&J Engineering Limited altered existing heating mains, relocated the existing LPHW F&R headers, installed new radiators and supplied new sanitary ware. All works were co-ordinated and carried out whilst the building was in use.

G&J Engineering Limited carried out renovation works in the Bon Secours convent living quarters; G&J Engineering Limited provided modifications to the existing hot and cold water services and replaced existing showers with wheel chair accessible shower enclosures.

G&J Engineering Limited modified existing hot and cold water services, provided new sanitary ware and modified the existing BMS panel to enable the installation of room temperature sensors to areas so that the space temperature could be controlled by the BMS system.

G&J Engineering Limited surveyed the existing compressed air system and produced as build CAD drawings. G&J Engineering Limited added water meters to areas to enable the monitoring of water usage during processing. G&J Engineering Limited modified hot and cold water services to the WC areas.

G&J Engineering Limited provided the re-commissioning of the boilers, pumps, fan-coil units and water services, which were previously not functioning, as the building was left dormant for a number of years. Treatment of the LPHW system and sterilisation of the hot and cold water services. G&J Engineering Limited removed a number of roof mounted AHUs from site so that the building could be roofing could be renovated. On completion G&J Engineering Limited reinstated the AHU’s on site using supports, which were fabricated by G&J Engineering Limited.

Alterations carried out to steam pipe work in Main boiler Plant room together with remedial works carried out throughout the processing building. The strip out comprised of the removal of redundant existing services to facilitate future expansion of services for future use.

G & J Engineering Limited have been successfully awarded the contract after tender process for alterations to the prestigious President Lodge UCD, the contract includes alterations to LPHW system with new motorised Control valves , localised Temperature Stats and Metering for cost efficiency monitoring , a new MCC control panel , two new high efficiency Gas boilers, Cold water booster pump , Cold water storage tank, a new ACV Calorifier and full system Commissioning. All mechanical services will be controlled by a Building Management System .
